MB: Japan's bankers all trying to fall on their swords in unison. Korea gathering up its citizens' gold. Indonesia in meltdown, adding to the general conflagration. Sovereign defaults (in actuality or masked) just a matter of time. In the tech sector, one of the nastiest pre-announcement periods in recent record. PC sales growth decline now starting to accelerate. Margins across the PC/semi arena in tatters........but delightfully, the Christmas rally has provided a marginal bump-up in the prices of some of our primary short targets. At our end, we have ceased nibbling and are sitting down at the table for a proper meal. Best, Earlie
