Paul I think you are right there will be money for companies to buy equipment that was hard to get with the tight money. A couple of big name semi companies (Intel & Motorola) placing some orders could start the ball rolling. If the Japaneese get there situation straightened out that will also boost equipment purchases, they have not been buying for quite some time. The consumer market must continue for these companies to want to make the investments so consumer sentiment may be bolstered by the fed rate cut. I hope this is the start of a sustained recovery with many high tech companies reporting better than expected earnings.
