Ish, Alex, All,

Re flu shots: The reason many people think flu shots sometimes cause flu is that while one may have no cold or flu symptoms, the flu bugs (there are many types) may be present in one's system. The flu shot will wake the little buggers up, help them along, and bring on full-blown flu in all its glory. That is also why flu shots should not given in the presence of cold or flu symptoms; the flu shot will exacerbate, rather than cure the flu. Hope this helps.

Holly
