Picked up a few Jan 2008 leaps on VLO earlier. Just very difficult for me to see a stock like this down on the year. I've heard all kinds of analysis on it saying why the margins are shrinking, and all about how special gains propped it up last year. Still, it sells at a PE that is well below MRO and the rest of the group. The leaps at least have a little leverage and only had to put up a small piece of the $54 tag.
