SOCIAL justice (ACLU) Hayek points out in The Fatal Conceit that "social" is one of the great weasel words in the English (and German) language. Sometimes "social" becomes a euphemism for "government". Other times "social" sucks the meaning out of the word it modifies, as in "social justice" and "social democracy". Btw, Hayek credits Teddy Roosevelt with coining "weasel word", a reference to the weasel's ability to suck an egg dry without leaving a trace.
