Hello Andrew et al,
This was a nice surprise. Dr. Jennings has been saying for at least five years that he believed the best pipes in the NWT lay underneath Lac de Gras, much like the Aber pipes (on claims which I believe CJ originally staked when he was involved with both Aber and SUF in the formative periods back in '91). I had heard that while Kennecott is operator on this group of claims, that SUF had offered to do the drilling just to get some holes poked in the lake.
In case some didn't see the map attached, it can be found here: southernera.com
Maybe Vaughn, or anyone with technical insight, can help out with a re-cap of the geology of this area, with any comments on the location of the Diamet pipes, and Aber pipes, as well as the previously drilled holes on the DHK, W1, WO, and Commonwealth blocks.
This seems like a freebie to SUF, on property that 5 years ago was central to SUF's value, but that has been very much in the the background of late. This may even get some action going in the Dentonia, Horsehoe, Kettle River stocks, given the close proximity to the DHK claim block. It seems that any successes here will be additive to any drill successes at Munn, Margaret or Yamba lakes.
Well done by SUF!
Regards,
