TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2000-- Intermedia Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:ICIX - news) rolled out DSL service today in Los Angeles. The company now provides DSL service to eight cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York and San Francisco.

By expanding its DSL availability, Intermedia will offer more businesses the tools they need to fully leverage the Internet. International Data Corporation (IDC), a leading IT industry analyst firm, forecasts that small business DSL lines will increase from 60,000 in 1999 to 2.5 million in 2003.

These applications include Messenger Mail, Web Hosting and e-commerce solutions and provide an even more convenient and cost-effective solutions. Messenger Mail provides customers with a turnkey e-mail infrastructure service eliminating the need to create an in-house system, saving customers money and IT resources.
