Hi all,
I hope that you are having a happy for of July. I will be in a chili contest today but I don't expect to win. This being the weekend, everyone should have their mind on fun. A fun thing about BETT was the wager that took place in London. What did Tom Hughes bet his $100 on?? He bet on the English soccer team. Here is the details:
The demonstration was part live and part simulated. The live part was the Siemens phone GSM 2+ phone calling to the London ET&T bank host which was represented by a server but not linked to any British bank as we (ET&T) do not have an alliance in the United Kingdom as yet. The ET&T then called Betting Inc. which then gated the (bet made and paid for) alert to CenterBet, which then placed a $100 wager on the English soccer team.
"The actual $100 had already been sent in advance and CerterBet simply responded back with an acknowledgment of (alert received and acknowledged). I'm (Tom Hughes) not sure as to the status of the wager.
"Once ET&T has a working link with a United Kingdom bank and once the gaming operators have been bank sponsored to receive an ATM card with PIN or stored value smart card transaction, then we can receive and process incoming GSM 2+ phone transactions or Pocket Pay calls or calls from Shop While You Wait terminals.
"Again, Merchant bank sponsorship is a must. Whether in the United States or elsewhere. We are looking for a small aggressive bank who will step up and sponsor the large reputable gaming operator."
Why Gang, that is the story on the London transaction. I wish we knew the outcome of the bet. I hope that ET&T lines up a bank sponsor soon. I sure don't have any connections to a bank that would sponsor the project. Do you? Go BETT!! Scoobey
