Perhaps, yes. But IMO one could reasonably expect that the design would evolve to become more adjustable to personal ergonomics, and perhaps incorporate audio and visual receptive capababilities as well, since the advantages of blocking out ambient light and sound in order to better focus on the monitor would seem to be overwhelming.
