Who, in their right mind, would prefer war over this? Consider that even if no weapons of mass destruction are found and the UN inspections team conducts as thorough of an investigation as a thorough investigation can be, what then? Obviously, the sactions against Iraq will be lifted.

However, it's important to note that just 'cause the sanctions get lifted it doesn't mean the inspections have to end. And future inspections invariably will be even more to the point, better ones even when you consider the entire groundwork for them will have had nearly 10 years as a foundation. Call it maturity!

So who really wants to go to war, and why?
