I've just used several hours of my free time to load Linux and get it connected to the Internet. Things would have gone a lot more quickly if I hadn't received some misinformation re how to configure it for Prodigy. But here I am! Microsoft free (at least for the moment -- it will probably take several weeks to get everything across that I'm accustomed to using)! I've got each OS on a separate hard disk, in carriers I can swap into my computer in a few seconds.

I gotta tell ya -- this Linux is really slick. It's a LOT easier (IMHO) to use than Windows 95, and especially a lot easier to see what's going on when there is a problem. I'm using the SUSE distribution, because I had some problems getting the Caldera one going, and I didn't find the RedHat install procedure all that friendly, either. But SUSE is easier (IMHO) to install than Windows.

I was logged in via BEOS earlier. That's still a bit thin in drivers, IMHO.

I've also got Solaris installed, but haven't tried to get it on the Internet yet (too many other things to do).

All JMHO.
