FWIW, I watched the SOTU address on TV, and heres my preliminary thoughts : It lasted about 55 minutes, and about 30-35 minutes was spent on "War on Terrorism/Iraq/Homeland Security". About only 20 minutes was spent on a multitude of domestic issues. Of that, about 2 minutes was spent on reducing unemployment/increasing jobs. That to me was disappointing. In general, I'd say it was a speech that marked the start of his re-election campaign. The gauntlet has been thrown, and now its time to see how the Opposition reacts.
