The 30-page White House dossier describes a "highly developed, well disciplined and expertly organised programme designed to win support for the Iraqi regime through outright deceit".

The document goes over old ground, chronicling the use of human shields in war and the exploitation of the suffering of the Iraqi people which has been inflicted by the regime itself. It also accuses Mr Hussein of religious hypocryisy and exploiting Islam.

So it's a "PR barrage" to discuss the facts??

I haven't read the report yet, but I hope they discussed how Saddam was able to maintain a full scale WMD manufacturing program for 4 years (1991-1995) WHILE SUPPOSEDLY UNDER FULL UN INSPECTION.. Thus, there is no guarantee that the current inspection effort is having any impact. IMO, we may see Saddam one day claiming to have nuclear weapons and demand the inspectors depart.

Y'see Zonder, the UN inspectors aren't supposed to be "investigators".. They are supposed to be INSPECTORS.. They are tasked with inspecting those weapons that Iraq is COMPELLED TO REVEAL via the US binding resolution. They shouldn't have to search for them.

The fact that they are being required to search for them is FULL PROOF that Iraq is not cooperating, and is thus in violation.

IMO, this ultimate violation ocurred in 1995, when tonnes of materials were revealed by a tip from a defecting Iraqi general (one of Saddam's son in laws)....

But Clinton lacked the guts to go to war at that time..

And that set the stage for what is happening now..
