Asian Devaluations Likely to Have Minimal Impact on Cable & Satellite Growth......................................

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Despite economic slowdown and currency
devaluation in most of Asia's fastest growing economies, cable and satellite
industries will continue to grow and prosper throughout the Asia-Pacific
region. The Strategis Group's newest industry report, Asia-Pacific Cable &
Satellite Markets: 1997, details the continuing growth and development of
cable television systems, digital direct-to-home satellite systems, and cable

"Rapid expansion of middle-income households will fuel the region's cable
& satellite growth," according to Eileen Krill, Director of International
Cable & Satellite Consulting, The Strategis Group. "These households are
exhibiting increasing demand for more programming choices, including
interactive multimedia."
