Hello Frank. I messed up with SI somehow. Could not post since early AM on Friday. I told Sonki I kept getting: Navigation canceled. But I am finally back on. I guess it was alright that I could not post much. I heard on TV that we are turning anti social with family and friends by spending as much as 10 hrs. a week on the net. Yeah right. Little do they know. What it costs me is time to sleep or a little less TV. Hm. Only 10 hrs a week. I'd better get rid of my unlimited service or I think it's 140 hrs a month. gg. I believe sometimes it's actually helpful to get out of each others hair at home. gg. As long as the family is not complaining, I guess it's alright. I do have to admit that some of my friends are getting a bit testy. That will stop if I get DSL or a sep. line and friends can still get through with phone calls. We are being called people with no life. gg. I call it people with a bit more money now. They are probably talking more about those chat room things. We are chatting also but mostly about our stocks or things that influence our stocks. Even when it comes to the political spectrum of it.

Anyhow. I read your OT. messages on Greenspan. I do feel this time you are right. I have been getting disgusted with Mr. Greenspan. Suddenly he has learned to speak plain English. Greenspeak is gone. He IS targeting the stock market. Now here is an article on oil.

Richardson believes in market forces. Now why can Mr. Greenspan not feel this way about the stock market? Suddenly he speaks openly about what the market should be doing. He does not want the markets to go up more than about 5 or 6% a year and would not be upset if it went down. Give me a break. I do believe that something is snapping in his brain. I would NOT reappoint him. Like I said a lot earlier. He is getting too old for that job or maybe feels a little too important playing with peoples investments. One thing we DON't need is for the GVT to tell us what to do with our own money. They are getting already too much of our money as it is and are doing a fairly lousy job with it. That includes paying for Mr. Greenspans and Co outdated philosophies. I have been mostly on A.G.'s side but he is now going a bit overboard. The only thing I like about him right now is that he would rather have a tax cut than more spending. Anyhow there should be a better oversight on the FED. I thought we were a Republic and not a dictatorship. Let's OPEN the FED so we know what those guys are doing and what their real objectives are. Right now it seems to be the little investor. Big guys are being taken care of if they get in trouble.

A.G. is learning the untruth talk like: I am fighting against inflation. Yeah. Right. Tell me another one and I sell you some swamp land.

Oh yes. And we of course don't want to use the core CPI number anymore. It is kind of hard to make your case for inflation when there isn't any. Now it has to be the stock market or the economy has to slow. Mind you. NOT inflation.

He is now worried about the trade deficit. Too bad he wasn't able to read my prev. messages on the trade deficit. That's the only thing that had me worried for a long time. Let's not be protective of trade but let's make it a bit more equal and we don't have to worry about THAT.
