Toshiba {6502} is expanding their PC lineup, and accordingly, this month, has launched a new notebook PC, the TECRA 750DVD/5.1. This new product comes standard with a DVD -ROM drive and MPEG2 hardware decoder chips. It uses the MMX technology Pentium processor (233MHz). It is compatible with PC97/98 system design, and retails for 848,000 yen. The Satellite Pro 480 CDT/4.0 multimedia notebook has a 233MHz MMX technology Pentium processor, a 4GB HDD, and an internal CD-ROM drive for 558,000 yen. The Satellite Pro 460 CDX/2.1 has a 166MHz MMX technology Pentium processor, while the company's subnotebook model, the Portage300 CT/1.6 CD Set Model, has an internal CD-ROM drive and stereo speakers for 458,000 yen. The new notebook PCs are 20% lighter and 30% thinner than their earlier counterparts. |
