Wow... "dead wrong"... "misinformed lemmings who follow interventionalists over the cliff.... "un-informed physicians you bothered to spend time consulting".

Must say if nothing else, those people seem passionate about their interests.

I lead a busy life, and it is true that calcium scanning is far from my front burner. That's why I used the disclaimer - "last I read". However - a small disclosure - I did have an informal "freebie" scan a few years ago, when a radiologist I know was calibrating his machine.

I can't examine those sites and go studying this issue right now, but I will - and will get back to this. Saving the post. Also, I rub shoulders on a regular basis with a few cardiologists, including a few interventionalist "firemen" (g). I'm off next week, but as soon as I can I'll discuss it with them. They are academic guys, professors... publish, lecture, etc. At this point I'm curious what they will say.

I have nothing against scanning - but will not take any interested parties opinion on faith. Gotto see evidence.
