It is true that before today the Court has never held that noncitizens detained by our Government in territory over which another country maintains de jure [i.e., formal legal] sovereignty have any rights under our Constitution. What? You mean foreigners detained overseas hadn't always had constitutional rights? Its not just something the evil Bush administration took away from them? Liberals are saying the SC "restored habeas corpus": huffingtonpost.com They couldn't be full of it - just making stuff up, could they?
