Kerry would have won if 56,000 Ohio voters hadn't been cowed and hoodwinked into believing he was fuzzy about national defense. That was a totally untrue charge by the Bushies, just the opposite of the truth, but it worked on just enough swingvoters.

The smearvets campaign of course was the doozy. 100% lies but they got away with calling their third Silver Star winning hero in a row a coward and traitor. Just amazing gall and dishonesty by the rightwing. And believe me, it was all organized by Karl Rove.
