If I am not mistaken a Merril Lynch analyst recently
recommended SELLING Intel at 52 and after the run up
recommended BUYING INTC at 75. This is probably
a $3-$4 million/year high tech specialist. Following
these gurus doesn't seem to be the road to good
investment results. They don't time the market well,
they are mostly late to the party and they always say that
momentum moves will continue indefinitely. Realistically
INTEL is very volatile. Its moves up and down are both
relatively exagerated. My own feeling is that they
will break 100 easily within the next 12 months and
possibly 120 in the next 18 months. I have owned INTC
since 1983 (effective price of 3). I bought more when
it dipped into the mid fifties (when Merrill Lynch said
sell). I anticipate holding for a very long time.
