"Fearing God" is but another and maybe older way of expressing "Believing in God".

And you guys, don't tell me you didn't know :)

Let's get real here.....people of all faiths are taught to fear their God to reduce the likelihood of their sinning for which they would be punished or lose the chance to get into heaven.
Fear of a god is the primary method used to control the masses....
