So for all of you who got a little annoyed by the imaginary friend argument- when we were talking about the irrationality of religion- this is why it matters. Because some people will take the hand of their imaginary friend and go to court- and end up forcing other people to live by the rules of their friend. If the imaginary friends didn't impact others quite so much- if they were saved for Sunday, and not foisted upon other people at school, or in the workplace, or in the common spaces where we all have to be for various reasons- work, commuting, pursuing our daily lives in government spaces- then I think most of us wouldn't care- but the imaginary frienders don't want to leave it at that. They are foisters- by nature, and by design- because if they are "right", surely everyone should be made to see the light. Whatever the light is. That's not the kind of America most of us want. So, if you dislike the Hobby Lobby decision, and what it stands for (the triumph of imaginary friends over the rights of ordinary hard working employees in small CORPORATIONS to have access to complete health care )- tell your friends, write your congresscritter, become active. Because the only way idiotic decisions remain law, is by people acceding to them. Do not accede. Make this a rallying cry. Because this is the wrong way to go.
