For some odd reason I chose to read a spam I received for a company called Pacel Corporation (OTCBB: PLRP) Setting the “Pace of Excellence” in Software Production and Services. It was produced by an outfit called Emergency Equity Alert, for which they were compensated 40 million shares (valued at $0.0019 each, or $76,000). This paragraph was especially amusing (bolding done by them, not me):
On October 16th, President George Bush formed a new panel to fight internet crime, one of the nation’s new most serious threats. Increasingly, it is being noted how vital the country’s information systems are to the functioning of business, government and national defense. PLRP's new Data Protector is a groundbreaking cyber security product so effective that it stops viruses and Intruders that it wasn’t even programmed to stop! Pacel is positioned to be a viable player in the nation’s fight against the rapidly growing arena of internet crime.
Wait, but that's not all:
-- NATO as a Client - PLRP has a blanket ordering agreement with NATO allowing any NATO country to purchase its services. The company is actively seeking new contracts, and this year revenues from NATO contracts alone are expected to reach $1,000,000.
Their other supposed big seller will be their Childwatch software that kids can use for safe surfing. I'm too lazy to see if there's any relation to FNTT.
Somehow, though, I think they could have done better. I'm tempted to offer them this suggestion: "Pacel: unequaled in protecting your children and the entire free world."
