Clinton was on his way to being the most popular and successful president of all time, but the rightwing couldn't allow that so they had to start with the big smear campaign.
How they ever got the president under oath having to answer if he cheated on his wife was beyond belief.
Also, follow the money. Who won with Bush-Cheney's unethical power grab? Big oil, big weapons systems, HMO's, drug companies, big banks, Wall Street tycoons, polluters and all other businesses which should be regulated, like mining, timber and developers. Who lost? Everyone else, including the world in general, but especially American workers and unions, plus our environment. Future generations will also lose because the collosal debt Bushies are piling up will someday have to be paid off. But how?
Now we have to turn this all around. But these rightwingers won't go easily. They're already talking about attacking Iran as war is their only idea how to stay popular. |
