If someone seriously believed they should and could kill everyone in the West, wouldn't you just lock them up in an asylum? It's nuts, for any rational human to think that way, regardless of culture or religion. Those that do are a lunatic fringe, not the majority we have to deal with.

Weird distortions like that bend and warp the rational policy debate on how to take different groups who can't get along but can't crush each other and fashion some workable solution.
