CNBC reported this morning that Hyundai is cutting DRAM production by 22% and NEC announced cuts yesterday. I believe this is what caused MU to jump today. I have not found any info on this on the web yet. What is strange to me is that when Samsung set they would cut production, the reports said Hyundai said they would increase production. This was just a week or so ago.

People are taking this as bullish. I see it as bearish. It sounds like a desparate move to me. The best it can do is stop the land slide in prices. But, is Micron going to be profitable at the current price, or do they need prices to rise?
