I basically have bet my life that Dell was ridiculously overpriced.
I can't believe its market cap. I can't stop crying. Life has been a nightmare. I listened to Barrons and others that pointed out that dell had a ridiculous PE, had no technology and a ludicrously high market cap. It is nice to find this Dell Bear Thread. i hope not too many here have suffered losses as bad as mine.
This Business Week on page 136 in the cover story on cisco whose stock has gone up 23fold in five years shows it is second to dell which has gone up 94fold in that period. I have been hurt in my short position as have those on this board who have been short dell.
dell will have to drop to single digits for me to break even. i had to put in lots of money a few times to cover my short position. I am short 16 times the number of shares of my original position because of stock splits. page 72 of BW shows the average time shares of dell are held is 3.7 months.
