ST-BRUNO, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 15, 2006) - Normabec Mining Resources Ltd. ("Normabec")(TSX VENTURE:NMB - News; FRANKFURT:N6M - News), through its wholly owned Mexican subsidiary Minera Real Bonanza S.A. de C.V. ("MRB"), is pleased to announce that it has staked additional ground around its 100% owned Real de Catorce silver project in San Luis Potosi State, north-central Mexico.

In late October, MRB staked three claim blocks covering 800 ha, 785 ha and 900 ha for a total new area of 2,485 hectares. The entire property now covers 3,881.5 ha. This new staking derives from the company regional summer mapping program which outlines several structures representing the south-eastern and the north-western extensions of the Real de Catorce epithermal vein system.

Several high priority targets were outlined, including the south eastern extension of some of the main producing structures in the district. Preliminary geochemical results confirmed the excellent exploration potential of those structures which, for most part, have never been explored at all below surface. Mineralogy, widths and strike lengths of the structures observed on the new claims are comparable to the ones in the producing area of the district.

The company is currently compiling its geological and geochemical data in order to generate future drill targets from surface. In the immediate future though, the company will be focusing on its, soon to begin, underground exploration program along the eastern extension of the main producing structure in the district:; Veta Madre.

On another front, drilling on the tailing piles is progressing fast and should be completed next week. As soon as surveying and assaying of the tailings are completed, a 43-101 compliant resource estimate will be commissioned. Material collected during the drilling program will then be used to carry out metallurgical testing in order to determine the best possible milling flow sheet.

Normabec is a junior mining exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, under the symbol NMB, active in both Canada and Mexico in exploration of high quality assets.

The TSX Venture Exchange has neither approved nor disapproved the contents of this press release.
