Thanks for the advice will look it up! As for Sirmione, arround lago di Garda there are many pleasant places to visit. Many small town on both side of the lake.Remmeber that east of the lake is in Lombardia, Western coast in Veneto, and north of the lake is in brodering Trentino- Alto-Adige (Sud-Tirol). Have you been to the other lake district about 100 miles west of the Garda, Lago-Magiore? I don't like it as much, it is deeper in the Alps and much colder! A large part of the lake coast in Itlalian territory, but North Eastern part is in Switzerland. The water is cold but the scenery is breathetaking.
