Taxes are what we pay for civilized society.
True, but we are not obligated to allow morons to manage the funds, Bozos to waste it in meaningless and capricious behavior, nor assume that the government is the solution for every single social ill.
Further, government should only have three functions:
1. Defense against foreign attack. (Military).
2. Protection of self and private property, from violence, and from criminals. (Police).
3. A Court system to enforce laws based on reason and enforcement of agreed upon contracts. (Court System).
If so, I will happily pay my fair share.
Beyond that, it is all moonshine.
Besides.... if what we live under is "civilized" society... boy, have we been taken for a ride by a band of thieves no better than the common criminals from whom the existing laws are suppose to protect us.
