10:00 ET Dow +48, Nasdaq +31, S&P +5.84: [BRIEFING.COM] Market trying to regroup after some skittish trading the past few sessions that was driven by earnings/valuation concerns... At the moment, those concerns have been set aside as traders are looking for some quick-strike opportunities following the Nasdaq's 9% decline over the past three sessions... Big-cap tech stocks among the early standouts, and along with the oil drilling, gold, chemical, paper, and airline shares, they are leading the opening gains... Market perhaps also benefitting from expectations that the Fed will continue its easing ways at the June FOMC meeting as the 8K increase in initial claims for the week of May 26-- an apt preview for tomorrow's payroll growth data-- left the 4-wk average at 403K... Chicago PMI and Help Wanted Index data due to be released shortly... NYSE Adv/Dec 1551/813... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1730/952.
