You have a far better leader right now, than you would have with John Kerry. The latter has proven through his congressional voting record that he refuses to commit and follow through on important issues. That's leadership and Kerry's life-long habit of waffling on every issue would cause rapid deterioration, rather than the improvements you're hoping he can achieve.
