Thats because the "cacheless Slot 1 in a different mechanical form factor", a.k.a. SLIT 1, was recently invented by the "Keep Shareholders Happy" group and hasn't gone down to the engineers yet. Plus, think of all the money Intel can make selling SLIT 1 to SLOT 1 adaptors! Petz
