A gentle reminder, fb. MSFT is a pure marketing company without a real product, except for its corporate, multi-headeded self. NOVL is a product-oriented, traditional purveyor of albeit 21C. enterprise software. Who wins in the short term? I would bet on the MSFT, the model-fast talker. Can NOVL ever become slick enough to compete? No. But I don't think that MSFT has to lose for NOVL to win. So don't be too hard on NOVL's trudging from door to door, and don't wish them into a MSFT model. NOVL is doing a pretty good job right now. Just watch tomorrow's earnings. Best to you in your investing.
