well, i am leaning toward believing that no-one really has complete control over what is happening...should the frizzlebun's primary trend reverse, it will do so no matter what interventions are thrown into battle to avert this.

could a rift between the CB's manifest itself? it's certainly possible. at the moment, no-one wants to rock the boat...there's no guarantee that this will remain so.
exchange rate differentials could yet become a bone of contention.

it is interesting to note that the currencies of countries that have sold most of their gold are under extreme pressure...e.g. the Australian buck. certainly the economic performance of Australia can't be blamed. neither can the rate policy of its CB..rates have been raised repeatedly. perhaps it's a coincidence...imo the Australian CB should buy a few hundred tons and see what happens....
