I am not sure I am getting your point. This Senator is a Democrat, so why should it disturb him if Gore gets elected? Can you be a bit clearer on your thoughts?

He's upset that the administration's efforts to juice the economy to help Gore (by talking about and now announcing the repurchase of debt to lower rates) are being trumped by Greenspan's tight-fisted rate increases.

I agree that Greenspan's current "we have to raise rates because productivity increases are bad" argument is stupid.
