I watched Chris Matthews and Geraldo last night and learned a few things. I think they were both reruns from before Xmas btw so others here might have seen the same shows.

First of all all this stuff about Burton was mentioned by Geraldo with a reminder to everybody that he called the president a "scumbag" on the record. I dont think this is the kind of behavior I want to see from Washington - openly calling each other "scumbags". Another republican loser. Anyway it is fairly clear that Burton has a bunch of skeletons in his closet and he should keep his big mouth shut.

Also, a few more details of this Jane Doe #5 story which Tom Campbell claims was so damaging that it caused him to vote for impeachment. Apparently this is a 20yr old story involving some form of sexual harassment which was never brought to trial - just another allegation. Of course we all know Clinton has been with tons of women and this isnt some sort of serial pattern because the Republicans have to reach so deep to dig up dirt - 20 year old unproven allegation, come on! In any case it is not acceptable to me that some congressman voted to impeach Clinton on this flimsy evidence when we have the $40MM+ Starr report and all the necessary facts contained within. A new low for the republicans, I was expecting something real from this Jane Doe #5, as Ive said hopefully everyone out there will do what they can to decimate Tom Campbell in 2000.

Larry Flynt was on Geraldo and said that he wont be publishing the Livingston expose since he has been in discussions with Mrs Livingston and since Bob Livingston has already resigned what would be the point. Falwell congratulated Flynt on that decision.

Lastly, Larry Flynt has details about a member of the Judiciary committee (not Hyde who we already know about) that apparently perjured himself during his divorce proceedings. This in addition to his apparently amoral lifestyle. Flynt says he has some others that have perjured themselves, as well as some that proclaim to be pro-life but encouraged their spouses to get abortions (thats a good one) and other details about affairs etc.

It appears that Flynt is reworking the context of his expose to illustrate perjury and obstruction of justice committed by republicans in regard to sex (divorce is great for that Ill bet) after all the republican "its not about sex" chanting - when we all know it is about sex and somebodys sanctimonious definition of morals.
