LMDS. Very interesting. No one knows more about wireline communications than the phone company. And no one knows more about local wireless communication than the phone company (cellular/PCS). And the phone company selected wireless for its delivery of digital TV. No need to upgrade the telephone switches and wiring. I wonder if they use their existing cellular and microwave towers for the LMDS transmitters? That sure would give them an almost unbeatable advantage over other LMDS competitors.
