Atin,

While this isn't related to p&f as much as it is to bar charts and the general theory of price projection I'll add these thoughts along with the disclaimer that I'm working on predicting just 1 bar ahead at the moment.

Regarding trading ranges screwing up predictions, I see that as a situation where price simply goes flat and reverses dir hence the projection needs to reverse dir and follow current price dir.

This is intended more to solidify my own thoughts about it than to interfere or suggest how things are done in p&f land. You're the expert and I know little about p&f projections but am aware it's possible to project beyond 1 bar out and I'm going to be looking at whether that's feasible with the methods I'm using on bar charts someday when I've time to get back the project full time.

As an aside to this subject, I've enjoyed the recent theoretical discussion about alternate scaling methods, and although I don't understand most of the implications I recognize top shelp material when I see it and have filed it away for future reference. Also fwiw, I think in the near future I'll be looking closer into Wyckoff's unusual style p&f methods and at that time I hope to engage in some thought provoking discussion, i.e. this thead is a great place to find experts in this field. Your opinions are always insightful and much appreciated.

Best regards, MM
