This modest little statement is what I call arrogant.

The point of stock options is to reward the employees for increasing the shareholders value. What incentive do you employees have if the you are going to be rewarded just the same for a lousey performance.
If you were doing a halfway decent job the stock would not have crashed. My friend was downsized from NSCP a couple of days ago and admitted that most of the software engineers had a bad attitude and rarely did any constructive work.
I only got involved in this company to make a quick buck on the deadcat bounce. You probably pray each night that IBM buys you out so you can continue getting paid for a poor performance.
