This could be due to the icebergs breaking off from Antarctica (along with the disappearing glaciers (where do they go other than out to sea) ) cooling them them down just like ice from your freezer cools down a glass of delicious iced tea.

I think more interesting is the oceans are full of Scientific Robots. Imagine scuba diving and coming across one of these robots! Who knew?
