Update - Hexagon Consolidated Companies of America, Inc. Broker/Dealers, Note Stock Symbol Change
RENO, Nev., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective Monday, January 24, 2000, the trading symbol for Hexagon Consolidated Companies of America, Inc. has been temporarily changed from ''HCCA'' to ''HCCAE.'' According to information available from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), although the company is current in its quarterly and year-end filings, the ''E'' was appended to the company's trading symbol because comments submitted to the SEC in 1998 in hard-copy form must now be submitted via the EDGAR system. Hexagon officials indicated that the company expects to file its comments via the EDGAR system within the next 72 hours. Upon review of the aforementioned comments by the SEC, assuming no further information is needed by the SEC, the company's stock symbol will be restored to ''HCCA.''
''Our most recent conversation with the SEC indicates that ours is an unusual case, and while there are no guarantees, we are hopeful of expedient review within the next 30 days in consideration of Hexagon's admittedly unique set of circumstances,'' said Maurice Furlong, chief executive officer.
Hexagon Consolidated Companies of America, Inc. is a company with interests in mining, health care, music publishing and real estate.
