Well, I dont know a lot about the Voucher program as my son is way beyond that now, currently working on a Phd. But, I am lucky in that we live in what I believe to be one of the finest public school systems in America from Grade school all the way through High School. But for inner city kids, probably mostly minority, the voucher system gives them A CHOICE if local school cant pass muster. I have to believe if the govt is involved no school could segregate kids based upon race, creed or color to participate. The advantages of a good school system like ours is I never paid any tuition after the 4th grade (had him in private school till then not knowing how good our public schools were) and my son has had Academic Scholarships EVER SINCE which have always AT LEAST paid all tuition and books. Early on I had to pay Room and Board but heck, I would have had that cost anyhow. Yep, I am a HAPPY CAMPER as regards my sons education. jdn
