Now the House and Senate are debating bills to cut social programs; food stamps and medicaid and the like. The wealthy haven't sacrificed for this idiotic war, they got their tax cuts... but we're going to try to continue to pay for the war on the backs of people that can't make ends meet right now. The least among us. My country is sick. Unfortunately there is no one with any influence, GOP or Dem, who is yet willing to take the path of sanity... It is a depressing situation. I think we'll end up the same way as Vietnam...throwing lives at this because no one has the courage to stop the madness. Al
