Barron's was kind of stinko this week. Abelson was off, and, despite a letter saying that most readers hate him, he is almost always the best thing in the rag. Randall Forsyth took his place and was kind of funny when he mentioned that California should become a nation so it could print all the money it needed to cover its deficit.

They have an interview with a guy named Whitebread who runs a bio fund. I disagree with about half of his picks.

The best stuff this week was the Market Watch segment. Sam Robbins talks about how there is no economic recovery nor will there be a stock market bottom until the final washout. Bob Brooks dumps on the Fed. Nasty, but not as nasty as the truth. Ken Coleman recommends precious metals, rummy boogers though they are. Richard Salsman wants more utility deregulation because we haven't suffered enough already. Richard, Richard. Important things like electricity, water, defense, etc. have to be socialized. Unimportant things like coffee bars and retail sales can be capitalistic.
