PCCLF/michelda/glut of public Net VCs! hmm, everyone's buzzing about SIFY, HRCT, Jafco, TRCLF, and PCCLF. Personally, I do like the latter two, though I can't find all the financial data I want. I'm not too hot on HRCT or Jafco, but what do I know.

And found one from michelda's list was quite interesting.
As for michelda, he (I don't think it's a she) is interesting. he sounded a bit like a nutcase at first. and the number of shares in his positions make him sound like a billionaire. anyway, i gotta hand it to michelda - he made the outlandish call on sftbf and was proven correct BUT if you notice his posting history, he also called CMOZ and whiffed on that one.

The appeal of the likes of ICGE/SFTBF/CMGI/WCAP/BGF/THCG/SFE/VFNDE(R.I.P.)etc is a diversified net play under the watch of sharp management. Well, watch out, now the pipeline is filling up to meet demand. Red Herring reports that Divine InterVentures and idealab! (from that wacky ol' Bill Gross) will file IPO's soon. You probably haven't heard of the former, though I'm quite familiar since it's headed by Andrew "Flip" Filipkowski here in chicago - the Net vc scene here in Chicago sucks other than what Flip's doing. If you go to his webpage, guess what the first word you'll see in the title. that's right, KEIRETSU.
Talking like Wetherell and Doerr now, baby.
