If we indicted the people who tortured, we would at least let the people of the world know we are not brushing it under the rug. Win or lose it would be the right thing to do.

I would never compare indictments for torture to the venal law suit against Obama. One is valid the other is just more of the blatant war on the dems. And the pubs would do the same, and have, against any dem, not just Obama.

Not allowing torture, and defending habeas corpus, are sacrosanct and integral to a civilized society. To allow torture to be rationalized, or doing away with habeas corpus, undermines the very structure of our democracy, the rule of law, and our entire civilization.

And too big to jail and too big to fail.

All of which have been greatly undermined in the last 15 years by the Republicans and plutocrats. If the dems start doing it, who is left to defend the nation from the barbarians?
