<K7 isn't a comparable chip to Merced. Try Williamette.> If I may be so bold as to speak for Kevin, I think he means that willamette appears to be Intel's next generation x86 processor. If true, this makes willamette and the K7 each companys next generation x86 and this is the proper comparison, not merced. AMD has not indicated any chip intended to compete with Merced, at least not that I know of. Anybody know otherwise? EP
