dvdw, commensal bacteria are essential to one's survival. I predict the FDA will get involved and ban it where ever it is at risk of human ingestion. The whole concept of putting antibacterial agents into everything, e.g. every cleanser I see any more, and now this colloidal silver coating on things is dangerous. What it does is to kill off the weak harmless bacteria and select for the strong mutants that have evolved defenses against the antibacterial agent. As hard as it may be to grasp having lots of harmless bacteria around to crowd out the bad boys is a good thing. Similar to the antibiotic-resistant bacteria that are so dangerous to us now. This is a frightening trend! Beware! If colloidal silver is the only driver for the market then I'm even more eager to short silver :-)
