I couldn't agree more heinz. The best I can imagine is the 4 pound IBM notebook that I have. The step above is a boat anchor, a step below is something that I can't deal with. Even if it could get down to 1 pound, would it really make a difference? You need the functionality of a keyboard and a monitor, bottom line. What I really need is fiber to my router; and a wireless home network. My 266 Mhz notebook is a snail. I'm not going to use my much faster notebook from work. For now, this is fine. A cell phone with Internet access with your notebook is better than a palm pilot with Internet access. I think the future is notebooks with cellphone/wireless access instead of all this "other" Internet crap......

conclusion: all things wireless are way overvalued...btw, i do not believe that there's a mass market for non-PC internet access&devices...even typing in a message on a cell phone is tedious at best...i think there's a bit of wishful thinking going on. wireless note-book PC's perhaps...but all this other stuff strikes me as impractical...and even if i'm wrong, no-one's going to pay up for it...it'll be a margin-less wonder...
